Terms of Service — Downtown Racine BID
The terms governing your use of the Downtown Racine Business Improvement District website and resources.
Last updated: August 31, 2026. Please review carefully — especially the consent to communications in Section 5.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Downtown Racine Business Improvement District ("BID") website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.
2. Use of the Site
This site is provided as a free resource for downtown Racine merchants, property owners, and the public. You agree to use it lawfully and not to misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its systems.
3. Business Directory Listings
The Downtown Directory lists downtown Racine businesses on an equal, non-paid basis. The BID reserves the right to edit, remove, or decline listings that are inaccurate, misleading, or outside the downtown district. Listings do not constitute an endorsement by the BID.
4. Event RSVPs & Registration
RSVPs and event registrations are used for planning and reminders. The BID may limit capacity for certain events. Submitting an RSVP does not guarantee admission where capacity is reached.
5. Consent to Communications
By submitting your personal information — including through contact forms, RSVP forms, or directory submissions — you expressly consent to the Downtown Racine BID contacting you and sending marketing communications via email, text message (SMS), artificial intelligence (AI) channels, social media, and other marketing avenues. You may opt out of these communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting the BID directly.
6. Intellectual Property
Site content, including text, graphics, logos, and design, is the property of the Downtown Racine BID or its licensors and is protected by applicable law. Business names, logos, and imagery remain the property of their respective owners.
7. Third-Party Links & Content
The site may link to third-party websites and display third-party business information. The BID is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site.
8. Disclaimer of Liability
The site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The BID is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.
9. Changes to These Terms
The BID may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Racine County, Wisconsin.
